How to Add a Missing Broker Server

If your broker server is not listed in AlphaLedger, you can still add it manually.

AlphaLedger supports MT4 and MT5 broker servers, including custom servers that may not appear in the pre-configured broker list.

When to use the Other option

Use the Other option if:

  • Your broker is not listed
  • Your broker is listed, but your specific server is missing
  • You use a regional, demo, or account-specific broker server
  • Support asks you to enter the broker server manually

Where to add a missing broker server

You can add a missing broker server from the Add Account menu.

To do this:

  • Go to Add Account
  • Choose Other as the broker
  • Find the Broker Server field
  • Manually type your broker server name exactly as it appears in MT4 or MT5
  • Continue the account connection process

How to find your broker server name

Open your MT4 or MT5 platform and check the server name connected to your trading account.

The broker server name may appear in your account login window, account details, or server selection screen.

Make sure to copy the server name exactly as shown.

Why the exact server name matters

The broker server name must be entered exactly as it appears in MT4 or MT5.

Small differences can prevent the connection from working, including:

  • Missing spaces
  • Extra spaces
  • Different capitalization
  • Missing hyphens
  • Incorrect live or demo server
  • Using the broker name instead of the server name

For example, if MT4 or MT5 shows a server called BrokerName-Live2, enter BrokerName-Live2 exactly.

Common mistakes to avoid

When adding a missing broker server, avoid:

  • Typing only the broker’s company name
  • Using a different server than the one shown in MT4 or MT5
  • Selecting a demo server for a live account
  • Selecting a live server for a demo account
  • Adding extra characters or spaces
  • Changing the server name format
