What Happens When You Downgrade Your Plan
Downgrading moves your account to a lower AlphaLedger tier. You can move from Pro to Basic or Free, or from Basic to Free.
When the downgrade takes effect
Your billing area will show the effective date before you confirm the change. In most cases, paid access remains available until the end of the current billing period and the lower plan starts on the next renewal date.
Review the confirmation screen carefully. It is the final reference for the downgrade date and any billing changes.
Pro to Basic
When Pro changes to Basic:
- The included account limit changes from three accounts to one
- Public leaderboard listings are removed
- The minimum Funding Program connection period changes from 30 days to 90 days
- Access to the Live US CPA Audit workflow ends unless AlphaLedger confirms otherwise for an already active audit
- You keep Basic features, including real-time updates, full analytics, full leaderboard browsing, and a shareable track record for one active account
If more than one account is connected, choose which account should remain active before the downgrade takes effect.
Basic to Free
When Basic changes to Free:
- Account updates change from real time to daily
- The analytics dashboard becomes limited
- Leaderboard access becomes limited
- Paid sharing features are removed
- Funding Program access ends
One connected account can remain on Free.
Pro to Free
When Pro changes directly to Free, both the Pro and Basic paid capabilities are removed. Only one connected account can remain active, and Free limits apply.
What happens to additional accounts?
Accounts above the new plan limit may become inactive or unavailable until you upgrade again or purchase eligible additional-account access. Historical information is not a promise that an over-limit account will remain accessible, so select the account you want to keep before confirming the downgrade.
What happens to public links and leaderboard listings?
Changing from Pro to Basic removes leaderboard listing, but the remaining Basic account may retain an eligible shareable track record.
Changing to Free removes paid sharing and listing capabilities. Previously shared links may stop working or show reduced information after the downgrade takes effect.
What happens to audits and funding progress?
An active audit add-on and a main subscription may be managed separately. Review both items in billing before downgrading.
Funding eligibility depends on the active plan and the account’s current data. Moving from Pro to Basic changes the minimum connection period from 30 days to 90 days. Moving to Free removes Funding Program access.
Refunds
A downgrade does not normally create an automatic refund for unused time. Review the Refund Policy and the terms shown during the downgrade process.
